AWS Pop-up Loft Dedicated to Espressif

San Fransisco, USA
Sep 30, 2017

San Fransisco get ready! Espressif will set the agenda of the upcoming AWS Pop-up Loft on November 2, in the cultural, commercial and financial center of Northern California. Registration is now open!

Espressif Systems and Amazon Web Services (AWS) invite you to attend a special event on Thursday, November 2, at the AWS Pop-up Loft in San Francisco, which will be dedicated to the recent release of the newest addition to the ESP32 series of products: ESP32-PICO-D4, a System-in-Package (SiP) module.

AWS is a secure cloud services platform, offering compute power, database storage, content dlivery and other functionality to help businesses scale and grow. The AWS Pop-up Lofts are events where startups and developers can sharpen their business acumen by attending best-practice sessions that include advice on PR, legal and funding issues. Plus, they can network and learn first-hand from other hot startups, VCs and accelerators. The day event dedicated to Espressif, however, will be focused on technical issues.

As already mentioned, among the topics that will be discussed is our new System-in-Package (SiP) module. ESP32-PICO-D4 is based on ESP32 and provides complete Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionalities. The module integrates a 4MB SPI flash and has as small a size as 7.0mm × 7.0mm × 0.94mm, thus requiring minimal PCB area. At the core of this module is the ESP32 chip, which is a single 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth combo chip designed with TSMC’s 40 nm ultra-low power technology. ESP32-PICO-D4 integrates all peripheral components, including a crystal oscillator, flash, filter capacitors and RF matching links in one single package. Given that no other peripheral components are involved, module soldering and testing is not required either. As such, ESP32-PICO-D4 reduces the complexity of supply chain and improves control efficiency. With its ultra-small size, robust performance and low-energy consumption, ESP32-PICO-D4 is well suited for any space-limited or battery-operated applications, such as wearable electronics, medical equipment, sensors and other IoT products.

This event will be offered for free to all developers who are interested in learning more about ESP32-PICO-D4. Registration is now open and prospective attendees can access the relevant webpage here.
