ESP8266 Joins the O’Reilly Animal Books Series
Shanghai, China
Jul 1, 2016
O'Reilly will publish a new book on ESP8266 as one of its featured books with an animal on their covers.
The internationally recognized media company O'Reilly Media will publish a specific book on ESP8266, adding a new member to its featured series of books on programming and computer technology with a woodcut of an animal on their covers.
The 280-page book, entitled Learning ESP8266 — Build the Internet of Things with the Arduino IDE and Raspberry Pi, is written by Alasdair Allan. This hands-on guide shows developers how to build their own Internet of Things at home with the fully programmable ESP8266 micro-controller with onboard Wi-Fi. Developers will learn not only how to build several network-enabled devices around the house, but also how to connect them together into their own cloud-based IoT network. The author Alasdair Allan also teaches developers to get started with the ESP8266 in the Arduino programming environment, and how to incorporate the Raspberry Pi into the ESP8266 projects with JavaScript and Node.js.
O'Reilly describes its business not as publishing books, creating websites or producing conferences, but as "changing the world by spreading the knowledge of innovators.” At Espressif, we also believe in the power of information and knowledge sharing; we communicate and exchange information every day with developers, customers, partners, as well as everyone of us here. Espressif is proud to join the “animal family” of O’Reilly with its ESP8266 and is thankful for Allan, the company and all of those who have been supporting us along the way.
The book will be released in January 2017 and is now available for pre-order at $29.99 on the O’Reilly online shop.
