ESPRESSIF SYSTEMS (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “Espressif Systems”) announced recently that ESP8266EX 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi module has got “Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Certificate” issued by the State Radio Regulation Committee (SRRC) of the People’s Republic of China.

ESP8266EX, a Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n SoC embedded with a 32-bit MCU, is developed for the Internet of Things (IoT) market, featuring self-calibration, high integration, low cost, low power and broad temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.

With leading embedded wireless technologies, Espressif enables all the customers to easily embed Wi-Fi functionality into other systems. With ESP8266EX module, you can easily develop a series of smart products, including lights, plugs, toys and sensors.

The SRRC certificate indicates Espressif Systems’ compliance with Chinese rules and regulations on radio transmission equipment. It’s great news for Chinese developers who have been waiting for such a programmable module.
